Islais, Corp. (“Islais”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We have prepared this Privacy Policy to describe to you our practices regarding the Personal Information (as defined below) we collect from users of the Service (including our Site, Site Software, and Mobile Software) (each, as defined in the Terms of Use). Generally we will collect and use your information to provide you the Service and improve the Service over time. Users can access certain features of the Site (e.g., the browsing, searching, and general website discovery features the Service) without creating an Account (as defined in the Terms of Use) or providing personal information.

1. User Consent

By submitting Personal Information through our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and you expressly consent to the processing of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. A Note About Children

We do not intentionally gather Personal Information about visitors who are under the age of 13.

3. An Note to Guest outside of the United States

Your Personal Information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

4. Types of Information We Collect.

“Personal Information” means information that allows someone to identify or contact you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the above information. “Anonymous Information” means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information; Anonymous Information does not permit the identification of individual persons.

a. Required Personal Information

When you create an Account, you provide us with Personal Information such as your name and email address to register with the Service. Your name (but not your email address) and any additional Personal Information that you choose to add to your user profile (see 4(b) below for more details) will be publicly available and may be searched by search engines and republished in accordance with our Terms of Use.

b. Optional Personal information

In using Islais, you may choose to post optional information to make the Service a richer community experience. You may enhance your Account profile by providing us with additional information (e.g., your photo, title, personal website, bio, location, cell phone number, gender or birthday). Any optional Account information you provide will be publicly available and may be searched by search engines and republished in accordance with our Terms of Use. You may also decide to provide us access to your address book so that you can find other users that you know.

c. Optional Content

Any of the content you provide as described in this Section (“Shared Content”) will be publicly available and may be searched by search engines and republished in accordance with our Terms of Use. Shared Content is information you give us with the intention of sharing publicly. When you engage in other sharing or communication activities, such as sharing or providing updates, these actions will become publicly available. We make such information publicly available to enable users to contribute to, and benefit from, a pool of product knowledge, experiences, opinions and perspectives of other users of the Service.

d. Other Optional Personal Information

You may choose to provide Islais with other optional information. You may provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail, in which case we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the e-mail, in order to send you a reply. You may participate in one of our surveys, we may collect additional information. We may also collect Personal Information, such as at other points in the Service that state that Personal Information is being collected.

e. Personal Information collected via Technology

(i) In the course of using the Service, the Service will regularly collect certain information that browsers typically capture when you use the web, such as your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address (a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet, which may vary from session to session), domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit. We also use Cookies (as defined below) and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URL) to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the solutions and information for which you searched and which you viewed. Like most Internet services, we automatically gather this information and store it in log files each time you use our Service.

(ii) “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Service. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions. If you choose to disable Cookies, some areas of our Service may not work properly.

f. Personal Information we collect from you about others

If you decide to invite a third party to create an Account, we will collect your and the third party’s names and e-mail addresses in order to send an e-mail and follow up with the third party. You or the third party may contact us at [email protected] to request the removal of this information from our database.

g. Personal Information we collect from Social networking sites

If you log on to the Service with your login credentials from a Social Networking Site (as defined in the Terms of Use) (such as facebook or twitter), we may receive Personal and/or Anonymous Information about you from such Social Networking Site, in accordance with such Social Networking Site’s terms of use and privacy policy. For example, facebook may share your address book information with us, in order to help us establish your Account and find other Service users that you know. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you via the Service.

5. Use of Your Data

a. General use

Islais uses your Personal Information in the following ways: to provide you the Service; to facilitate the creation of and secure your Account on our network; identify you as a user in our system; provide improved administration of our Services; improve the quality of experience when you interact with our Services; send you a welcome e-mail to verify ownership of the e-mail address provided when your Account was created; send you administrative e-mail notifications, such as security or support and maintenance advisories; and respond to your inquiries related to employment opportunities or other requests.

b. Marketing Use

If you sign up for an Account, we may send you promotional communications; provide you with hardcopy or electronic newsletters, or surveys; and send you upgrades and special offers related to the Services. You may opt-out of receiving such promotional communications as described in Section 8 below.

c. Anonymous Information

We may create Anonymous Information records by excluding information (such as your name and email address) that make the data personally identifiable to you. We use this Anonymous Information to analyze request and usage patterns so that we may improve our Service. Islais reserves the right to use and disclose Anonymous Information (e.g., popularity of Bag categories or Bag Items, number of transactions per Bag Item, and the how product recommendations affect business metrics) to third parties in its sole discretion.

6. Disclosure of your personal information

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, share, or rent Personal Information collected from the Services to other entities.

(a) Disclosure to other Service Users.
As described in Section 4 above, your required Personal Information (but not your email address), optional Personal Information, and optional Bag Content, is publicly available and may be searched by search engines and republished in accordance with our Terms of Use.
(b) Disclosure to Third Party Service Providers.
We may share your Personal Information with third party service providers to provide you with the Services; to conduct quality assurance testing; to facilitate creation of Accounts; or to provide technical support. These third party service providers are required not to use your Personal Information other than to provide the services requested by Islais. You expressly consent to the sharing of your Personal Information with our service providers for the sole purpose of providing services to you.
(c) Disclosure to Social Networking Sites.
If you log on to the Service with your login credentials from a Social Networking Site (such as through facebook connect or twitter), we may disclose Personal Information about you to such Social Networking Site for authentication purposes. In addition, a Social Networking Site may want access to information that we collect about you, and may need such information to provide certain services to you on its site. For example, if you or any other user elects to share your Bag Content on facebook, we will send facebook the applicable information. If you do not want us to continue to provide your information to the Social Networking Site, please change your privacy settings at both the Social Networking Site and our Service. If you opt-out, certain features of the Service and/or of the Social Networking Site may not be available to you. The privacy policies of the Social Networking Sites may apply to the use and disclosure of your Personal Information that we collect and disclose to such Social Networking Sites. Because we do not control the privacy practices of the Social Networking Sites, you should read and understand their privacy policies.
(d) Disclosures to Advertising Companies.
Third parties may serve ads on the Service (“Advertising Companies”). We do not send any Personal Information to Advertising Companies. If Advertising Companies select demographic targeting for their ads, we automatically match those ads to the appropriate audience. Advertising Companies only receive anonymous data reports. Advertising Companies may have access to Personal Information or Anonymous Information that they directly collect from you via cookies or that you directly share with them yourself. The privacy policies of the Advertising Companies may apply to the use and disclosure of such Personal Information. Because we do not control the privacy practices of the Advertising Companies, you should read and understand their privacy policies. If we utilize any Advertising Companies on the Service, we will update this Privacy Policy to include more information on these Advertising Companies.
(e) Affiliates and Acquisitions.
Although we currently do not have a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, “Affiliates”), we may in the future. We may share some or all of your Personal Information with these Affiliates, in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. If another company acquires our company or our assets, that company will possess the Personal Information collected by it and us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
(f) Other Disclosures.
Regardless of any choices you make regarding your Personal Information (as described below), Islais may disclose Personal Information in connection with any legal investigation or if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on Islais; or (b) protect or defend the rights or property of Islais or users of the Services.
7. Third Party Websites.
When you click on a link to another website or location, another entity may collect Personal Information or Anonymous Information from you. We have no control over, do not review, and cannot be responsible for the policies and conduct of, these outside websites or their content. Please be aware that the terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these outside websites or content, or to any collection of data after you click on links to such outside websites.
8. Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information
(a) Choices.
If you have opted-in to receive promotional communications, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further promotional communications from us and you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly (please see contact information below). Despite your indicated e-mail preferences, we may send you service related communication, including notices of any updates to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.
(b) Changes to Personal Information.
You may change any of your Personal Information in your Account by editing your profile within your Account. You may request deletion of your Personal Information by us, but please note that we may be required to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete any information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives.
9. Security of Your Personal Information.
Islais is committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We also require you to enter a password to access your Account information. Please do not disclose your Account password to unauthorized people. Despite these measures, you should know that Islais cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision, and if we make any substantial changes in the way we use your Personal Information, we will notify you by sending you an e-mail to the last e-mail address you provided to us and/or by prominently posting notice of the changes on our Site. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective upon the earlier of thirty (30) calendar days following our dispatch of an e-mail notice to you or thirty (30) calendar days following our posting of notice of the changes on our Site. These changes will be effective immediately for new users of our Service. Please note that at all times you are responsible for updating your Personal Information to provide us with your most current e-mail address. In the event that the last e-mail address that you have provided us is not valid, or for any reason is not capable of delivering to you the notice described above, our dispatch of the e-mail containing such notice will nonetheless constitute effective notice of the changes described in the notice.
